What are the spacer panels for?
Spacer panels are used to create vertical paneling or framing for our doors and drawers.
How are the spacer panels installed?
To create a vertical paneling, the spacer panels are installed between the IKEA METOD or PAX cabinet ranges. If you want to create a frame for your doors and drawers, the spacer panel needs to be also installed to the upper and lower sides of the cabinet frames.
What colours do the spacer panels come in?
Our spacer panels are 19 mm thick and available in 16 harmonious colours, like all our other products.
How do I order the spacer panels?
To order the spacer panels, choose the custom-sized side panels from our online store. If you are installing a lower cabinet paneling that reaches all the way to the floor, order a 15 cm wide and 90 cm high panel. In other cases, you can order the spacer panel in 10 cm width and the length of your desire. Please note that when designing your A.S.Helsingö kitchen or wardrobe with the decorative spacer panels, you need to leave 19 millimeters space between the IKEA cabinet ranges. Therefore, the total width of the cabinet combination increases with each spacer panel added.
How do I install them?
The spacer panels are often installed 21 millimeters outside the rim of the cabinet range. This way the spacer panels are at level with the surface of the drawers and doors. Another beautiful option is to install the spacer panels 30 millimeters outside the rim of the cabinet ranges so that the paneling stands out from the line of drawers and doors, adding a personal touch to the cabinet combination.
